JON OLIVA'S PAIN Auctioning Backdrop, Guitar Pedal

May 23, 2007

JON OLIVA'S PAIN, led by the SAVATAGE mastermind Jon Oliva, is parting ways with two items from its past tours. The first item, a massive 10' x 30' backdrop from the "'Tage Mahal" record was sold on eBay in a blazing eight minutes after the auction began for $900.00. The winning bidder, a die-hard fan in Sweden, plans to adorn the walls of her apartment with the massive backdrop. Pictures and description of the backdrop can be seen here. The second item is guitarist Matt Laporte's Pod XT Live pedal that was used during the band's 2007 European April tour. That item can be viewed here.

JON OLIVA'S PAIN is in full pre-production mode, crafting its third CD for a tentative January/February release. A special multi-meda presentation is expected to be included as part of the CD package.

JON OLIVA'S PAIN will headline the prestigious ProgPower Europe festival, which takes place October 6-7, with a short tour to follow.
